Pochettino on the hot seat, Conte would have views to succeed him in the capital. However, the Italian press has just thrown a cold light on the arrival of Conte in Paris. In the columns of La Gazzetta dello Sport, people close to the Italian tactician denounce “absurd fake news” about his future.

Quoting people close to the Tottenham coach, the newspaper assures that everything that circulates about Antonio Conte would be only affabulations. “From the hypothetical list of players wanted, to the crazy demand for 30 million in salary, which would make him the best paid coach in the world,” it would be nothing but huge speculations. Similarly, those close to the former coach of Inter Milan deny tensions with Leonardo, the current sporting director of Paris Saint-Germain.
“The information that he asked not to work with the sporting director Leonardo to have Petrachi by his side, arrested for two years after his time in Rome. Conte and Petrachi played together as children but they never worked together,” says the newspaper. Recruited in November, the former Nerazzurri coach is still under contract with Spurs until 2023. He could therefore honor his contract until its end with the London club.
