OM Mercato : Juventus Turin offers a nice gift to Marseille!
Desiring to strengthen their internal team this summer, Juventus Turin had been tracking an executive from Marseille. However, the Italian club is now considering another option.
The summer transfer window is expected to be hectic at Olympique de Marseille. While the club’s recent results are causing concern, Marseille’s president Pablo Longoria is working to find reinforcements. Recently, the current third-place team in Ligue 1 has been tracking what appears to be the new Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the phenomenon from Naples: Eduard Spertsyan. This Armenian gem currently plays as a winger for Krasnodar in the Russian Premier League and has incredible statistics: 11 goals and 10 assists in 27 matches.
Since the departure of Nemanja Radonjic to Torino, Marseille no longer has any technical players on the flanks. That’s why the Spertsyan track could be interesting, especially since the player is still unknown in European football. The Marseille club also wants to keep key players from this season, such as Portuguese full-back Nuno Tavares. But the deal seems complicated at the moment because he lacks commitment in training, a fact that annoys Marseille coach Igor Tudor.
Juventus Turin is leaving Pablo Longoria at OM, for now.
Against all expectations, OM could also lose Pablo Longoria, their president, in the coming months. His work during the last transfer windows has been noticed throughout Europe, and the Spanish manager is in high demand. According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport, Juventus Turin has taken the bait and has shown interest in both Longoria and OM coach Igor Tudor. The Italian club wants Longoria to become their new sporting director this summer.
However, the current seventh-place team in Serie A has another priority before Longoria. According to the first source, Juventus Turin’s management is first considering Frederic Massara, who currently holds the desired position at AC Milan. As a friend of Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri, Massara’s arrival could offer added benefits. It remains to be seen whether the Turin management will be able to recruit him. If not, the Pablo Longoria track may resurface in Italy.
