Next Wednesday, Kylian Mbappe and PSG will be on the lawn of Bayern Munich for the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinals. After the French striker of the Parisian team, it’s Eric Maxim Choupo Moting’s turn to give his opinion on this upcoming European clash.
Choupo Moting already warns Kylian Mbappe
At the microphone of RTL, Kylian Mbappe announced the color of the upcoming double confrontation between Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich. Remembering the final lost last August against the Bavarian club, the 22-year-old striker openly assured that the team now led by Mauricio Pochettino had evolved and ready to fight with the German ogre.
“This lost final? It’s an injury. Now we play them again, but it’s a different context, it’s over two games. We have learned a lot since that final. They are a great team. We play the first game there, but we will give the best of ourselves to try to pass. We will try to do things right in the Champions League,” said the former center forward of AS Monaco.
Asked about the same subject, the Cameroonian international Eric Maxim Choupo Moting replied that the Bundesliga Champion does not intend to take the Parisians lightly.
“Winning the title is the big goal of all of us here (at Bayern, ed.), you can see it every day in this club. Very good luck, but I think it’s more difficult to defend the Champions League than to win it, because everyone is chasing FC Bayern right now. We are currently considered the best team in the world – that means we are the team that everyone wants to beat. This makes it all the more important that we work together in a positive way, having fun and, above all, staying as a unit. We will not take PSG lightly,” announced the former striker of the current leader of Ligue 1.
A very clear message sent to Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and all the elements of Pochettino‘s squad.
Choupo Moting in place of Lewandowski against PSG?
Injured in the right ligament with the Polish national team during the international break and the 2022 World Cup qualifiers with Poland, Robert Lewandowski will miss Wednesday night’s match at the Allianz Arena. The number 9 of the team coached by Hans-Dieter Flick could also miss the return match on April 13 at the Parc des Princes. Eric Maxim Choupo Moting could therefore be aligned on the point of the Bavarian attack to try to hurt his former teammates in Paris.
