“The main reason I came to Spurs this year was to play soccer, obviously, but with the Euro coming up I wanted to go into the tournament in top form. The original plan was to do only one season at Spurs, then after the Euro I will have another year in Madrid. My plan is to go back. That’s all I’ve planned to be honest,” Gareth Bale told a press conference on the eve of the Belgium-Wales match.
