PSG Mercato: Marcus Thuram, the decision of Paris SG is fallen!
Announced on the heels of Marcus Thuram, who will leave Borussia Mönchengladbach as a free agent at the end of the season, PSG has decided to sign the French striker.
Thuram, who is out of contract on June 30th, will not continue with Borussia Mönchengladbach, as the German club has already announced the 25-year-old French international’s decision to seek a change of scenery after his commitment ends. Thuram, a former center-forward for EA Guingamp, is now on the market and has been associated with several European clubs, such as Paris Saint-Germain. However, Mundo Deportivo revealed on Saturday that while the son of legend Lilian Thuram‘s profile is appreciated, he is not a priority for the Rouge et Bleu. This situation places FC Barcelona in pole position to sign the 2022 World Cup runner-up in a few months.
PSG Transfer Window: Marcus Thuram heading to Barça?
According to Mundo Deportivo, Paris Saint-Germain is not the only club interested in Marcus Thuram. According to the Catalan daily, Barça, Inter Milan, Chelsea, Atlético Madrid, and Manchester United are also among the clubs that have been offered the services of the Parme native.
“The French striker was offered to Barça, which already served as his loan destination. However, this is not the club that Thruam was offered to and which is attentive to his future. For example, Chelsea has made him a target and wanted to sign him in January, while PSG also appreciates him as a possible reinforcement, even if he is not a priority. Not to mention Atlético Madrid, which sees the Frenchman as an ideal player for Simeone’s style. Inter Milan has also been following the striker for several months, and the latest club in the mix is Manchester United,” explains the Spanish newspaper, which adds that Barça appreciates Thuram‘s versatility, as he can play up front or on the wings, as well as the fact that he is a free agent.
Lilian Thuram, a former player for the Catalan club, recently admitted that he would like to see his son follow in his footsteps by donning the blaugrana jersey someday. Now it remains to be seen which club will welcome the younger brother of Nice midfielder Khéphren Thuram.
