Burak Yilmaz torments OL at Groupama Stadium
Lille OSC was held in check by Montpellier (1-1) during the last day of the season, but it came back with a victory on Sunday. In the last game of the 34th day, LOSC won (2-3) at Olympique Lyonnais‘ home ground. The evening started badly for Christophe Galtier‘s men. They found themselves leading (2-0) in the 35th minute after a goal by Islam Slimani and a csc by José Fonte. Burak Yilmaz started the revolt of Lille before the second half by converting a free kick (45th+1). The Turkish striker was then unable to make a decisive contribution to Jonathan David‘s equalizer (60th). The 35-year-old forward completed the comeback of his team with a dive against Lopes at the end of the match (87th).
LOSC back ahead of PSG thanks to Yilmaz
Author of an outstanding performance, Burak Yilmaz has toppled Olympique Lyonnais by himself. The Turkish player allows the Dogues to regain the lead of Ligue 1 ahead of Paris Saint-Germain. LOSC has a one-point lead over PSG with four days to go. Christophe Galtier‘s men must now follow up to lift the holy grail at the end of the season. They must beat Nice, Lens, Saint-Etienne and Angers to win their first title in 10 years. Defeated by Lille, Lyon has probably said goodbye to the title. Lyon is now in 4th place and is relegated to 6 points from its opponent. They are also four points behind Monaco (3rd) and five behind Paris (2nd).
