PSG wants to clear its workforce and find cash to finance the transfer of Paul Pogba. Bayern Munich could well help Leonardo, the sporting director of the capital club, in this vast project.
Thilo Kehrer not excited about Leverkusen opportunity
On Tuesday, journalist Saber Desfarges confirmed on Twitter that Thilo Kehrer will not be retained by PSG during this summer mercato. In search of offensive reinforcements for next season, Bayer Leverkusen is interested in the profile of the 24-year-old central defender. According to Sky Sports, “Werkself is still looking for a central defender. A big plus of Kehrer: he can be used flexibly and can also play as a right back. He also has experience in the Bundesliga and internationally.”
The sports channel even adds that Leverkusen is willing to pay between 15 and 20 million euros for the German international, exactly what Paris Saint-Germain is demanding to let him go. However, the former Schalke 04 player does not seem interested in a move to Bayer, as Saber Desfarges explains. But that’s no problem. Bayern Munich has just shown its nose in this case.
Mercato PSG : Kehrer finally at Bayern Munich ?
Placed on the transfer list at Paris Saint-Germain, Thilo Kehrer has a good rating in his country. Indeed, the newspaper Sport Bild announced this Wednesday that after Bayer Leverkusen, it is now Bayern Munich who have positioned themselves for the Parisian defender. In search of a new element to strengthen its backline, in case of departure of Niklas Süle by the end of the mercato, the German champion has put the name of Kehrer on the list of his targets for this last month of the summer market.
Arrived in 2018 against a check of 37 million euros, the native of Tübingen is tied to PSG until June 2023. With the arrivals of Sergio Ramos and Achraf Hakimi, not to mention the rise of the young El Chadaille Bitshiabu (16), who has just signed his first professional contract, the Parisian future is becoming increasingly dark for Thilo Kehrer whose only option to hope for playing time next season would be a departure.
