On Saturday evening against AC Ajaccio, RC Lens has the opportunity to secure their second place in the standings. Discover the lineup of RCL.

RC Lens-AC Ajaccio: Win to validate the second place.

The big night is approaching for Franck Haise‘s men. In a little over 24 hours, RC Lens will host AC Ajaccio for the 37th matchday of Ligue 1. The calculations are very simple, a victory is enough for Lens to definitively validate the second place and secure their spot for the next Champions League.

To find a trace of Lens’ participation in the most prestigious European competition, one has to go back to the 2002-2003 season when RCL finished 3rd in their group and qualified for the UEFA Cup. 21 years later, the club from Artois is on the verge of officially securing their place in the group stage and making the famous Champions League anthem resonate at Bollaert.

Franck Haise will be without Frankowski, but Danso will make his return.

On this occasion, Franck Haise will not have a complete squad at his disposal. Due to an accumulation of yellow cards, Przemysław Frankowski is suspended and will not be able to be fielded by his coach. However, Austrian defender Kevin Danso will make his grand return in the central defense of RC Lens after serving his one-match suspension following his red card against Reims on May 12th.

Another return to the RC Lens squad is that of Wesley Saïd, who has been injured for several weeks and could benefit from a few minutes of playing time on the Bollaert pitch. These are rather positive news for Franck Haise, who is well aware of the immense stakes on Saturday evening against AC Ajaccio.

The probable lineup of RC Lens against AC Ajaccio:

Goalkeeper: B. Samba

Defenders: J. Gradit, K. Danso, F. Medina

Midfielders: F. Sotoca, S. Abdul Samed, S. Fofana, D. Machado

Forward: A. Fulgini, L. Openda, A. Thomasso
