PSG Mercato: It’s done, Leonardo closes a huge deal in the middle!

Rather quiet at the beginning of the winter mercato, PSG is about to revolutionize its midfield. Its sporting director, Leonardo, has just completed an agreement in the middle.

PSG Mercato : The arrival of Ndombele is imminent

Big moves are expected at Paris Saint-Germain in the coming days. If the club of the capital made it a point of honor to clear out massively this winter, it should also act a signature of prestige in midfield. A priority sector for Leonardo since the beginning of the season, PSG has recently positioned itself on Tanguy Ndombele, who is about to leave Tottenham. The French international is no longer in the odor of sanctity at Spurs, where he struggles to get playing time and pushes his departure to Paris SG.

The desire to reach a deal is common between the player, PSG and Tottenham. If the salary aspect still blocks the finalities of the transfer, it should nevertheless be done very quickly, and this, thanks to an important agreement closed by Leonardo. In search of a solution to bring Ndombele to Paris Saint-Germain, the Brazilian sporting director will lend one of his promises in the middle to a German club. This is the young Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe, 21, who will land at Bayer Leverkusen in the coming hours. After long negotiations, Paris has completed this Wednesday the loan of the player for 6 months with an option to buy.

The current 3rd in the Bundesliga will even pay the salary of the Titi. Before this departure to Germany, Dina Ebimbe should, as RMC Sport says, extend his contract with PSG for two seasons. A great operation that would allow the incorporation of Tanguy Ndombele in the Red and Blue team. This is not the first time that Bayer deals with Nasser Al-Khelaïfi, since the German club had already recovered Moussa Diaby and Mitchel Bakker in recent years.

Ndombele, the key to Real?

If the will of Paris SG is to strengthen the midfield this winter, it is because its forces in presence are still not satisfactory. After several months of competition, Mauricio Pochettino still struggles to find the perfect sidekick to the duo Marco Verratti and Idrissa Gueye, untouchable in the mind of the Argentine coach.

If the recruit Georginio Wijnaldum was expected as the ideal complement to the midfield duo, the latter has never really convinced and is even associated with a return to England. A real chance to play for Ndombele, who would take advantage of the lack of fitness of several midfielders (Paredes, Herrera, Danilo, Wijnaldum) to impose himself in his favorite club, a few weeks before the clash against Real Madrid.
