He arrived last October at Bayern Munich, for one season, and finally he will stay two more years in the Bavarians. The Cameroonian striker and former PSG player, Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting (32), has extended, this Friday, until 2023 with Bayern Munich.
After two seasons spent at PSG, Choupo-Moting arrived in October 2020 at Bayern Munich and passed with flying colors his trial period. Indeed, the German champion announced, this Friday, the extension of his contract until 2023, while his initial contract was to end on June 30. “We are happy that Maxim will stay with us for another two years,” said sporting director Hasan Salihamidzic on the club’s website. He is a very important player for us, he performed well last season and scored many goals. Maxim can be used in several positions, has a very good technique, a lot of experience and he is dangerous in front of the goal. Besides his athletic qualities, Maxim is also important to the team as a person.”
Bayern: Choupo, Lewandowski’s understudy
The Cameroonian international has scored this season with Bayern. The versatile striker has scored 9 goals in 32 appearances in all competitions. He scored a goal in four Champions League matches, including two against his former club, Paris SG, in the quarterfinals. The player has taken his role as Lewandowski‘s understudy seriously.
