AS Monaco Mercato: ASM rejected for another young Bayern player
After having taken from Bayern Munich last summer, AS Monaco hoped to recruit again from the Rekormeister. The club of the Principality has completed the loan of Alexander Nübel for two seasons. The young German keeper is the number 1 in the position at ASM. While there were rumors of his return to Bavaria in the summer, he closed the door to a return to the fold. After Nübel, the princely club was interested in another young man who lacked playing time in Munich. Team reported that the club of the Rock was interested in Tanguy Kouassi, whose departure on loan had been mentioned by the German press. Coach of the ten-time German champion, Julian Nagelsmann has decided on the future of the former Paris Saint-Germain.
No departure for Tanguy Kouassi
The Bayern Munich coach has cooled down all the suitors of his versatile central defender. “Lending Tanguy is not an option, he will certainly stay with us. He has developed well. He is a great talent and for me, he is planned as a permanent member of the team and will play a role,” said Julian Nagelsmann. With the title already in the pocket, the former Parisian should therefore gain playing time on these last weeks. Bad news for AS Monaco, Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig, all interested in Kouassi.
Barred by the competition in his position, the 19-year-old defender has played only 8 games as a starter this season. Tanguy Kouassi has one goal and one assist in the current campaign. Recruited as a free player in 2020, his contract in Bavaria still runs until 2024.
