Mercato: Kevin Volland from AS Monaco to Wolfsburg at a knock-down price!

Rumors of transfers are already on people’s minds ahead of the summer transfer window. Kevin Volland could leave AS Monaco for Wolfsburg.

Kevin Volland joined AS Monaco in 2020 from Bayer Leverkusen and quickly won over the fans with his impressive performances. The German forward was a key player for the Monaco team last season, contributing with his goals and assists to ASM’s positioning on the Ligue 1 podium. However, despite his excellent performances, speculations about his future at Monaco have started circulating in recent weeks due to his limited importance in Philippe Clement‘s squad.

AS Monaco Transfer News: Kevin Volland Heading to Wolfsburg for €5 Million.

Wolfsburg, a Bundesliga club, appears to be the most interested club in recruiting Kevin Volland. With remarkable performances in Ligue 1, he has caught the attention of numerous European clubs. Wolfsburg, currently occupying 7th place in the German league standings, is looking to strengthen its attack to achieve new objectives next season. Volland’s arrival could bring greater offensive efficiency to the team.

For AS Monaco, losing Kevin Volland would pose a significant challenge. With his 39 goals in 113 matches in all competitions for the club from the Principality, the German striker has been one of the team’s standout players. His departure would require a suitable replacement to maintain the team’s high level of performance. Monaco will have to search for a new forward to fill the void that Volland could leave behind.

As for the player, a return to Germany wouldn’t be unwelcome, even though, unlike AS Monaco, Wolfsburg is not guaranteed to play in the next UEFA Europa League. The 30-year-old footballer already has a successful experience in the Bundesliga, having played for Leverkusen. A return to his homeland would offer him the opportunity to play at a high level and be closer to his family. However, it remains to be seen whether he will actually make his return to Germany. AS Monaco is unlikely to let the player leave without receiving a transfer fee of around €5 million.

Volland is still under contract with the club from the Principality for one more season. In order to prevent his departure on a free transfer in June 2024, Monaco could sell him for an offer close to €5 million, even though he is valued at €10 million in the transfer market.
